Modelling, Rapid Prototypingand Reverse Engineering
Fluted Beams LLC creates and fabricates custom, one-off models using their proprietary Extreme Wood Bending techniques. This allows Architects and Designers to realize their designs in physical form. Reverse Engineering can also be accomplished from physical prototypes. Shown below at left is a full and 1/4 scale model for an undulating floor project in South Korea. In the center is a full scale model of a fender or quarter panel for an automotive application. The part is inspired by the shape of the Bugatti Veyron. At right is a 1/4 scale model of a column wrap that will disguise structural columns used to support an upper floor.
