Fluted Beams LLC has developed two totally new types of architecturally scaled, engineered wood columns and beams. Two patent pending inventions cover these product categories and licensing is required from Fluted Beams to reproduce them ( chris.mroz@puretimber.com )...
1. Structural products created from separating beam flanges with Fluted™ webs of solid hardwood bent to extreme radii and
2. Solid beams, posts, turnings or logs and flooring that are inlayed or Fluted™ with bendable hardwood to enhance the appearance and/or prevent surface checking.
Both examples are shown in the photos and web pages below.
We also weave, joint, laminate and otherwise connect our boards to produce very large scale curved beams, trellises and grid shells from 2" x 6" Compressed Wood boards for stunning new architectural creations.
